That emigrants outside Albania feel the homeland more than we who live in it, this is an irrefutable fact. It is the law of life, you always don't recognize the value of the things you have until you lose them. This is also our history, and we Albanians who emigrate everywhere in the world, to the farthest ends, but again after a while we understand that beyond the economic aspect and a better lifestyle that the whole world offers compared to our poor Albania, the heavy stone always weighs in its place and the taste of life is never compared to the homeland.
The national team is the only point when Albania comes together as God has forgiven it, our enemies call it great, while for us it would be good to call it natural. That the national team is more than a personal interest, everyone understands and should understand this. To really understand what happens behind the scenes and what the experience and mindset are like, we must provide a very beautiful and significant detail.
After the German European Championship match between Croatia and Albania, "Sport Ekspres" spoke with Qazim Laçi's father, Emin Laçi. A family of patriots who raised their son with great patriotism, despite the many years spent in Greece.
Qazim Laçi has been noticed since the youth of Albania and even in the national team, that whenever he sings the anthem before a match, he always closes his eyes to let his soul command his lips. And the credit undoubtedly goes to his parents for the way they raised him.
But the interesting detail, to return to, belonged to Germany's European Championship. After the match with Croatia, we requested an interview with Qazim Laçi's father, and his words, spoken privately, reveal a lot about this family and the way they experience Albania, the National Team.
" Do you want the right? I also told my friends who are here at the table, ask if you want. I said to him in my heart, I will tell Silvinjo now, take my son off the field, there is no problem, just put Arbër Hoxha in, put him in from the start, leave my son out, there is nothing ," said Qazim Laçi's father.
It was precisely about Arbër Hoxha who, at the European Championship in Germany, turned on the turbo like never before, astonishing the Albanian fans, but Silvinjo gave him very few minutes of activation. Meanwhile, Qazim Laçi scored Albania's first goal against Croatia, but for his father, personal interest did not come before the general good, for the sake of Albania, he was ready to "sacrifice" even his son just for the success of our National Team.
