Starting tonight, a polar cold wave will sweep across our region. Italian media are reporting that the country will be hit by one of the coldest spells in the last 20 years.
" The minimum temperatures remind us that we are still in the middle of winter. The currents coming from the east-northeast are very cold as the Balkans are being engulfed by a cold wave with temperatures below zero even in the middle of the day. How long will this cold wave last? In Italy until Wednesday, but a final burst of cold air from the North Pole is possible at the end of February ," explains Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist for IlMeteo.it.
It looks like this cold weather will also affect Albania. On Wednesday, temperatures in Tirana will drop to -2 degrees Celsius and the weather will continue to be cold until the weekend.
