The 8 arrested as part of the anti-drug operation 'Tempulli' in Elbasan will appear before the Court today to familiarize themselves with the security measure.
They appeared before the jury; Gildi Ballolli, Mikel Poçi, Steven Faqolli, Saimir Rexhepi, known as the "Wolf of Cërriku", Frančesko Braho, Endrit Kovaçi, Ervis Duzha and the police officer Sajmir Hysa.
It is learned that the prosecution body has requested the security measure of "prison arrest" for all the accused.
The Temple action, with the arrest of 233 people across the country for distributing drugs near schools and bars frequented by young people, was accompanied by the seizure of a quantity of cocaine in Tirana with a purity level of 91 percent.
Even in Durrës, the 30 people arrested from the Temple action appeared before the court for security measures, where also in this city there were people like Engjellushe Prillo, 64 years old, among the accused.
For 26 people, the court has reconfirmed the security measure of arrest in prison, two "compulsion to appear" and two "house arrest".
The "Temple" mega-operation was carried out in several major cities on September 14, 2023, arresting 233 people who were involved in the distribution of drugs near schools or residential buildings.
23 criminal groups were destroyed in the mega-operation developed in 5 different regions of the country, Tirana, Durrës, Korçë, Vlorë and Elbasan.
