Fier Police have provided details regarding the double injury that occurred on Friday evening in Fier, where after a fight two young men were admitted to the hospital with wounds caused by a cutting instrument (knife).
In an official announcement, the Police announced that they have arrested citizen Edi Hoxha on charges of attempted murder.
"Specialists of the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector, in cooperation with the services of the Fier Police Commissariat, immediately after receiving the notification that 2 citizens injured by a cutting instrument had gone to the Fier hospital for treatment, have organized the work to bring the perpetrators to criminal responsibility and to clarify the circumstances of the case.
As a result of quick and professional investigative actions, the dynamics of the case were clarified, and the 40-year-old man was arrested and put in handcuffs.
From these actions, it is suspected that on a street in the "11 Janari" neighborhood, Fier, citizen AM, 28 years old, resident of Fier, had a conflict for weak motives with citizens EH, 40 years old and TS, 38 years old, resident of Kraps (brothers).
During the conflict, the 40-year-old man struck citizen AM with a cutting tool, and the 40-year-old's brother, citizen TS, was injured in the hand during the conflict.
At the conclusion of the investigative actions, citizen EH, 40 years old, resident of the village of Kraps, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Intentional Murder" which remained an attempt.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further action," the Police statement said.
