Democratic Party MP Tritan Shehu has spoken about the murder of 42-year-old Eglantin Proga in Pogradec.
He considers the event as serious and even the actions of the institutions to close the event in silence.
According to Shehu, the misuse of such crimes, to hide them for political interests, makes the event even more serious. He said that the manipulation and falsification of reality by the Albanian institutions is above all a disgrace to justice.
"It is the shame of justice, that it is misused at every level, that it is not able to reveal the truth and that it was sought to be misused and to benefit from material goods, until they took their lives. An ugly crime and just as ugly is the manipulation and falsification of reality, of institutions and the scandalous decision of the court at the request of the prosecution. It is the shame of justice, that it is misused at every level, that it is not able to bring out the truth and that it was sought to be misused and benefit material goods, until they took their lives. A serious event for society and justice, a black mark for him. It is an event that belongs to an ordinary citizen, who earns his living by work. That is a citizen who is used by politics, and the misuse of those institutions that are involved in the fight against crime. It has different dimensions, obviously it has great sensibility. It is the statement of the prime minister who tried to hide the truth, who opposed the media, to understand the essence of the issue that the government wanted to close the issue. It is not enough, it is a symptom in our society of the misuse of institutions up to justice, the greed of the crime that seeks to extort the livelihood of the citizens. Shameful for a system and state that protects an ordinary criminal. This shows how strong the criminals are in this country, how invulnerable they are and protected by the state. It is the degradation of the state that the citizens suffer. It is similar to many other crimes. Aggressiveness, security and degradation of institutions. The prime minister's attempt to protect crime, we have state policies that have brought the institutions in our country to this level ," said Shehu.
