The former commander of the Naval Forces Artur Meçollari has stated that he has information that Jala will no longer be owned by the naval forces.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, it was stated that Jala will be removed from the army the moment the president signs.
" The naval forces cannot have the properties on the mountain but on the edge of the sea, such as Jala, which the president is looking forward to, so that it will no longer belong to the army. According to the proposals made, it will no longer belong to the army. This will happen when the President signs it. This is secure information. The problem is that when such studies are done, they are done on the basis of certain criteria. It is not possible for a man to arbitrarily set up working groups, because the point is that these do not serve today's army but tomorrow's , he said.
