Jamarbër Malltezi, son-in-law of DP leader Sali Berisha, a defendant in the “Partizani” case, spoke after the hearing at the Special Court. Malltezi claimed that Taulant Balla’s testimony before the trial panel was a fraud from start to finish, just like the report he had made at the beginning of the case to SPAK.
He stressed that he would repeat the criminal complaint against Balla and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Balla lied in court. He lied when he said that Malltezi received 5% from the owners, he had no document, he said he got it from media sources. He lied when he said that Malltezi received 60% of the shares, he said he had heard about it. He is a person you feel sorry for. He was asked about his statement that he would not destroy our land without putting Saliu in prison, he remained silent. Balla lied about public facts. He said that the constructions were done with Berisha's permission, but he lied and today he said that he was not aware, so in a report by Taulant Balla there are 11 lies", Malltezi said among other things.
Maltezi continued to explain that what he was saying were facts and not allegations, where Balla listed his false testimony. And for this reason he would repeat the criminal complaint against the SP MP and the head of government.
"We will be in the next session where we will make objections to Taulant Balla's statements, some of them were lies, they were made up, what I say is based on facts. That it was not expropriated is in the Official Gazette. We will repeat the criminal complaint against Taulant Balla and Edi Rama for this fraud. Balla lied throughout the session and violated the law," said Malltezi.
He described the process as sophisticated and political, and even accused Balla of having declared before the report to the party that "he wouldn't leave the country without putting Berisha in prison."
He also accused Balla of illegal use of personal data.
"The process is sophisticated and political. Balla has violated the law by placing all institutions under his control, violating them. Balla had no right to take personal data and even more so to pass it on to Alket Hyseni, but today he lied and only said that he had heard it from the media. What I am saying are not allegations but facts. Taulant Balla will not be acquitted because he cannot escape being charged with false denunciation, there are 11 lies," he said.
