After the meeting held in Korça with local police leaders, the General Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, continued his tour with a visit to the Local Police Directorate in Elbasan.
It is learned that Hita was received in an official meeting by the director of the Elbasan Police, Fatmir Hoxha, while the focus of the discussions was on security issues and strengthening order in this region.
The visit to Elbasan follows the meeting in Korça, where the police chief gathered local leaders, chiefs of police stations and sector heads to analyze issues and determine work priorities.
According to sources, Hita has requested intensification of crackdowns on the cultivation and distribution of narcotics, as well as the identification and prosecution of persons involved in criminal groups.
He also emphasized the need for stronger measures against illegal possession of weapons and increased field controls, with special attention to educational institutions, to guarantee public safety.
