Shkruar nga PamfletiExecution of Two More Members by the Dictatorial Regime Ruling IranAt dawn today, Monday, April 20, 2026, two members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK), Hamed Validi and Nima Shahi, were executed in a barbaric crime by the dictatorial regime ruling Iran.
Hamed Validi, a 45-year-old civil engineer, and Nima Shahi, a 38-year-old technical worker, were arrested along with their relatives in Tehran on May 13, 2025. They were then subjected to interrogation and torture. These two individuals had been sentenced to death on September 27, 2024 by the regime’s executioner judiciary, on charges of membership in the MEK. The head of the regime’s judiciary in Alborz province, in an absurd statement on September 27, 2024, accused them and two other arrested MEK members of espionage in connection with the 12-day war.
This accusation was made despite the fact that they had been arrested a month before the war began, and the MEK had already sent their names and details to the United Nations and international human rights organizations. On September 27, 2024, the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) issued a statement calling for the case to be referred to an international fact-finding commission.
Last night (Sunday night), the Iranian Resistance again called on the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations Human Rights Council, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Iran, the International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran, and other human rights protection bodies to take immediate action in the hours remaining before dawn on Monday, April 20, to save the lives of Hamed Validi and Nima Shah. In recent weeks, the dictatorial regime ruling Iran has hanged 13 MEK members and political prisoners. These executions have sparked strong public outrage in Iran and have been strongly condemned by the international community.
