There is some "positive" news for the Democratic Party after Trump's victory, which they should echo and not limit themselves to the hope of lifting sanctions against Berisha and his family.
For years, DP has usually turned into a party that celebrates the victories of others and its own defeats. They celebrated the victory of VMRO in Macedonia, pro-Serbian parties in Montenegro, Meloni in Italy, etc. Although all those who win have in common with the PD only being "right-wing", they have no other similarities. Even Macedonia's VMRO-DPMNE, which had a similar predicament with the president of the US-sanctioned party, distanced itself from him, made its own way without him and won. DP here does the opposite. The moment it was sanctioned, he called him to the party and joined behind him.
But let's put aside the loss record to deal with their celebration of Trump's victory.
This has some positive aspects for Albanian politics.
First, PD returned to the Assembly and abandoned civil disobedience. It's not that he was harming the government or society, but he was self-destructing by leaving the tires at the six intersections that had chosen to die.
Secondly, they took the entry into the elections seriously, since until now it seemed that they would go towards a boycott. After Trump's victory, it seems that they have decided to enter the elections, and this is a positive signal, that they will not repeat the mistake they made in 2019 when they boycotted the elections, hoping that Trump would support them, since he was in power .
Thirdly, the belief that the elections are free and fair has been strengthened, since now the socialist government can no longer use Soros to "steal" the DP's votes. Although the Democratic Party has lost elections twice during Trump's first term, this time the hope is that it will win, since Trump also won.
This trust is a good omen, as it creates a climate of trust before the elections and this helps to have a normal electoral process.
Fourth, they seem to have given up the demand for technical government. Since Trump's victory creates guarantees for the DP, it is not necessary to have a technical government, as they have other international guarantees.

All this good news comes only from Trump's victory and for this Edi Rama should know in honor of the Republicans in the USA, who made this pre-election period easier. Guess he hadn't won, and they started now that Kamala is stealing my election. At least that way we are calm until May.
