Socialist MP Ardit Bido has criticized the opposition's decision to elect Vangjel Dulen as a substitute member of the Council of Europe.
Bido says on Facebook that the opposition's decision to send Vangjel Dule to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is an anti-Albanian act.
Bido said that Dule is an independent MP who comes to the Assembly with a doctor's crutch every four years and added that with this decision he will be allowed to express his anti-Albanianism before Europe.
Ardit Bido: As they resumed parliamentary behavior in the shamelessness of the cacophony noise as soon as the national anthem ended, just as they closed the year, they decided that their first political act of 2026 would be the appointment by the DP, as a substitute member in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, of the unelected deputy, who comes to the Assembly with a doctor's crutch every four years, just because he is the epitome of anti-Albanian political nationalism, Vangjel Dule.
In September, I spoke about Kosovo and Chameria in that Assembly and I expected the DP to do the same. But, while this majority establishes solid alliances with the US and all EU countries, the doctor remains with the only alliance he knows: the alliance of grandiose anti-Albanianism. Misery!
