Popular social media influencer Lil Tay has passed away at the age of 14. The news is reported by foreign media and has been confirmed by a relative of the influencer, whose real name is Claire Hope.
He shared a post on Instagram where he says that her 21-year-old brother, Jason Tian, also passed away with her.
The cause of death is not known, but some media report that it is a suicide. Some time ago, she had posted on Instagram a message with the text "Help Me", amid hints that her older brother was using her.
The minor became famous on the Internet about 5 years ago. Her videos were controversial as they used violent language, insults, attacks on passers-by, displays of extravagance and fights.
She appeared on the show "Good Morning America" together with her mother to defend what she was doing, and was considered one of the rising stars with 3.3 million followers on Instagram.
