29-year-old German Demetrius Soupolos is suing his neighbor Frank Maus, 34, for breach of contract after the latter failed to get his wife pregnant after 72 tries, the NYP reports.
Soupolos had hired Maus to conceive a child already with his ex-wife, beauty queen Traute, as he was sterile and Traute desperately wanted a child. He thought that Maus would be a good choice to keep the couple together, as the two men were similar and Maus was the father of two children.
Soupolos paid Maus €2,600 for the work done and three times a week for six months, Maus tried desperately a total of 72 times to get Traute pregnant.
When Traute was not conceiving, after six months, Soupolos insisted that Maus go for a medical examination that revealed he was also sterile.
Maus's wife was then forced to confess that Maus was not the real father of her two children.
In his defence, Maus said he had not 'guaranteed' her conception, but only that he would try 'honestly' to get Traute pregnant.
