The Albanian Cup final for under-19s degenerated into violence, as neither fans nor parents were absent from the pitch at the "House of Football" in the capital.
On Wednesday (May 14), starting at 19:00 at the "House of Football" in Tirana, the final of the Albanian Cup for ages up to 19 years old took place. At the end of the challenge, it was Xhevahir Kapllani's Teuta who defeated Gazmend Xhepa's Tirana 1-2. Teuta scored a brace with Devit Dermiçani in the 57th and 88th minutes, while Valentin Përgjoni scored the only goal for Tirana in the 90th+3rd minute.
The ending was not as everyone would have liked, as punches, kicks, vulgar language, and inappropriate scenes for a football game were seen on the field.
How did the violence happen?
Immediately after the referee's whistle, Teuta started the legitimate celebration on the field. At these moments, the Tirana players seem not to have gotten over the defeat that knocked them down a category, attacking the Durrës players. After a few moments of fighting between the two camps, according to reports, some fans and parents of the players also crossed the perimeter fence. Fortunately, there are no injuries from such scenes that happen with young footballers, who will have to learn to be human before the result.
