FIFA publishes the latest rankings, the Albanian national team ends the year in 65th place

The national team ends the year in 65th place, having no changes from 1 month ago, despite some matches played by other representatives not from the European area.

Albania started the year in 64th place and during 2024 there were oscillations, going down to 67th in September. The best historical ranking the Reds had in August 2015 where they were 22nd in the world, thanks to the qualification campaign of "EURO 2016".

Kosovo is ranked 99th, just like 1 month ago. This is the best historical positioning of the "Dardans". In the ranking published this Thursday by FIFA, Argentina remains at the top, followed by France and Spain.

The national team will return to the field in March for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Reds are in a group with England, Serbia, Latvia and Andorra.
