Gennaro Gattuso has spoken his first words as Italy coach. After the humiliating defeat to Norway, Luciano Spalletti was fired and Gattuso could not refuse the offer of the national team.
At the press conference, Gattuso was firm with his words.
" It's a dream come true. I know the task is not easy, but nothing in life is easy."

But I repeat, team, not individual players. I am convinced that the team has values and that the objective can be achieved. When Buffon and Gravina called me I did not hesitate for a moment, I believe that we have the qualities to achieve the objective.
The Gattuso you will see? The figure of a footballer is difficult to hide. Everyone thinks of a Gattuso with all his heart and determination, but today I would not put a Gattuso in my team because of the way I want to play. That is the truth. You have to analyze it carefully: with heart and determination you do not spend eleven or twelve years coaching.
"I like to be up to date, to talk about football. In recent years football has changed, every player has a different mindset and not everyone is the same. Today footballers are more professional, but they have a little more difficulty forming a group ," Gattuso said, among other things.
