Flik- "He's a very friendly person, with whom you can easily talk. He asks you if you're okay, he teaches you. I've improved a lot from him. That makes him respected as a coach and as a person. It's how he sees it. Sometimes he's more strict, but sometimes that's what the players want at certain moments. When it comes to defensive concepts, he asks me things and explains them to me. But in terms of attacking, he doesn't tell me much. Just to enjoy it and that's enough. It's more about the confidence he gives us."
Goal with France - "That goal changed me, but also the rival. Before, I was like a child on the field, while after the European Championship I felt different and a winner. I have more confidence in myself. When you win a title, you look for more and this is noticeable in every footballer. I remember some fragments of the goal against France. From the moment the ball went in, I thought it was going to go into the goal. I remember the celebration and my mother crying in the stands."
Fame - "It's different now. Everyone knows who I am. Before, I could easily travel on a plane, while now it's difficult to go to the airport. It's something that makes you proud, but sometimes it's difficult because I don't have a normal life. I can't go out with my brother for a walk or with my mother for something to eat. Fame gives you positive things, but also negative things."
Champions - "If there are two competitions where you enjoy scoring the most and are happiest, they are the Champions League and the World Cup. They are the two most important competitions. When the Champions League anthem is sung, it gives you a great emotion. I have scored against Monaco and Atalanta and I had never experienced that emotion. Only in the European Championship with the goal against France. I hope we go as far as possible and win the trophy."
