Journalist Trashgim Sokolaj recalled the event of several years ago, when Agron Bejdolli, who was arrested on Tuesday, tried to take the two brothers Indrit and Gentian Beqiraj hostage, because he suspected that they would eliminate Aleksandër Laho, known as "Rumi" of Shijak.

"Actually, the way this kind of event unfolded is interesting. In the first moments it was reported as an accident, as if a car had hit a motorcycle on the highway, near Sukthi. Then it was realized that one of the brothers who was on the motorcycle, was taken hostage and held hostage in a vehicle, where he drove for about 15 minutes and about 1 kilometer further, jumped from the car and was thrown into the street. They went to the police, filed a lawsuit, gave several statements, told about the hostage taking and showed the dialect of the persons, they said they were from Durrës, they asked us about the owner of a bar in Durrës. This bar owner in Durrës turned out to be Rrumi i Shijak.
The reason for the hostage-taking emerged from the investigations, was that members of the Shijak Stream group, for 1 week or about 10 days, had realized that these two brothers were watching the Shijak Stream to kill him. These people had stayed in the same bar where Rrumi i Shijaku had lunch. The suspicions were that these two people are planning an assassination attempt, and the Shijak Street Group decided to retaliate by taking them hostage. It was not learned whether they had received orders to do so. They have not accepted that it was objective", he emphasized while speaking to ABC News.
