A report to the Tirana prosecutor's office by the wife of Dritan Nanos, the main suspect from the police as the orderer of the violence against the lawyer Sokol Mêngjesit, may shed light on the origin of the conflict over the property in the area of the Artificial Lake of Tirana, which the lawyer had won in court proceedings to her eight heirs.
In the report provided by Voxnews.al, Albana Nano accuses businessman Arben Reli of falsifying the documents with which the lawyer, Sokol Mêngjesi, raised compensation claims.
In her testimony, she says that Arben Relin has an aunt's son and briefly describes the conflict over the property that was the reason for the rape of lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi.
The complainant declares before the judicial police officer that the efforts to acquire the property inherited by Hafsa Sheqeri started in 2009 with her husband, Dritan Nano, representing the other six heirs of the property.
In 2012, according to her, they were joined by Arben Reli, who until this period only tried to take advantage of this property.
Albana Nano says that the heirs met the lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi in 2017, when the case went to Appeal. Lawyer Mêngjesi, according to her, was suggested by Arben Rreli.
The special power of attorney of representation by the lawyer was signed on June 24, 2017 at the notary Margena Çela, the appeal process lasted only one year.
On February 12, 2018, the Appeal upheld the decision of the first instance, which recognized them as the heirs of the property.
The report reveals that the heirs received a notice at the beginning of February this year, where the lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi claims the reward promised by Arben Reli.
The complainant asks the prosecution to verify the power of attorney signed in 2017 and to investigate the possibility of its forgery by businessman Arben Reli, as they claim that at no time did they sign a contract-order neither with him nor with lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi.
Meanwhile, businessman Arben Reli, one of the heirs of the property, was also questioned in connection with the violence against the lawyer. Details from his testimony before the investigators have not yet been made public./Vox
