Blendi Gonxhe tries to justify the attack on News 24, admits that one of the
The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, headed by Blendi Gonxhe, after 11 hours of silence, has attempted to justify the attack on News 24 television, creating confusion with rental contracts.  

In the statement from the Ministry of Economy, Gonxhe admits that "Fokus Media News" has a lease until 2033 for one of the buildings, while the police have blocked both buildings, preventing journalists from continuing their work.  

Further, while admitting that one of the lease contracts is until 2033, Gonxhe tries to justify himself by saying that this lease contract has no connection to today's action, while the complete opposite is happening on the ground.

The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, following the high public interest and to clarify the opinion on the claims presented by the "Fokus Media News" Company regarding the so-called continuation of the lease contract until 2033, announces the following: 

The company's claim that its lease contract has a term until 2033 is related to another state property, different and without any legal or factual connection with the property previously owned by the state company "KAYO" sh.a. 
The property in question is also owned by the state and is located in cadastral zone no. 8170, property no. 10/304, with a land area of 13,922 m², near the former "Automotive Spare Parts Factory" in Shkozë. For this property there is another lease contract concluded in 2013 and amended by an annex in 2016 between the MFE, today the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation and Panorama Group Sha. with a term until 2033. 

In contrast, the property that was transferred to the company "KAYO" sh.a. by Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 158, dated 12.3.2025, was initially leased in 2002 for a period until 2022 and has been the subject of final court decisions, with the counterparty being the company "Focus Media News". 

The lease contract claimed to be valid until 2033 refers to another property, with a different number and boundaries than the property subject to court decisions and which has not been transferred to “KAYO” sh.a. This fact is confirmed by the official documentation of the cadastral register and the survey plans, which clearly show that these are different property units. 
Any attempt to present these properties as the same or related, including references to other lease contracts, is not only unfounded but also disinformation by a media outlet that should tell the truth. No material interest of the owners justifies misinformation! 

So they are two completely different things and two completely different contracts, and the latter has no impact on the validity, legitimacy or execution of final court decisions that require the immediate release of the assets transferred by the Council of Ministers to the company "KAYO" jsc, for the realization of its object of activity. 

The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation reconfirms that the actions to take actual possession of this property are in full compliance with the law and court decisions, and that the property is clearly registered as a separate property unit, unrelated to any other property leased through various contracts. 

MEKI remains open to any clarification and information in the interest of correctly informing public opinion and all interested parties.
