In Albania, part of public opinion, especially Edi Rama's opponents, treated the revolver accompanied by seven bullets with dark humor.
Nard Ndoka, the leader of the PDK, known for his jokes, did not miss the opportunity to take a jab.
According to him, since the protest is demanding the resignation of Edi Rama, Erdogan had also sent him the right means to "reflect."
Nard Ndoka's black humor, although it may be considered macabre by Edi Rama's supporters, actually carries a symbolism related to the political tradition of the Sublime Porte, where gifts have often served as warnings.
From the moment he came to power, and even before that, Edi Rama agreed to call the partnership with Turkey a strategic relationship.
But over the years, this partnership turned into an increasingly dependent relationship.

This process was hampered by American and European intervention, especially when Turkey attempted to increase its influence over the Albanian Muslim Community.
After this resistance, Edi Rama began to move closer to Israel, seeking a kind of strategic balance in the face of Turkish pressure.
Meanwhile, Ankara increasingly activated its networks of influence in Albania, especially after the opening of the Great Mosque of Tirana.
But, under the pressure of the protest and concerned by internal political developments, Rama decided to seek a compromise with Erdogan.
The symbol of this compromise was the closure of Bedër University, an institution administered by the Albanian Muslim Community.
A "gift" that was sent in a suitcase to the Turkish President.
And that, it was returned in the form of a Magnum 357 revolver, one of the symbolic weapons of the Turkish military industry.
A revolver that Rama has placed in the gift cabinet near his office, as a memento of the Sultan's order.
A message related to the request for the removal of Bujar Spahiu and all current leaders of the Albanian Muslim Community.
To then be replaced with people close to Ankara.
If such a scenario were to come to fruition, it would jeopardize not only the autonomy of one of the most important religious institutions in the country, but also national security itself.
Because politically controlled structures could become an instrument of influence for a foreign state.
A process that would begin with the impact on religious institutions, would affect cultural and national identity, and would then extend to real estate.
The Albanian Muslim community is among the largest real estate owners in the country.
And this adds to the concern that these properties may gradually come under the economic influence of investors linked to Turkey.
In this way, the issue does not remain solely religious.
It takes on strategic dimensions.
Especially at a time when Erdogan feels he has gained more room for maneuver in the region following recent developments in NATO.
