Bushati torpedoes Rama: So that we don't talk about the revolution, we talk
Bushati-Rama

Analyst Andi Bushati has stated that the government is trying to divert attention from the real problems of citizens, by shifting the debate to specific figures who have participated in or supported the protest.

Invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, Bushati said that names like Dritan Goxhaj or Ikballe Huduti are being used to avoid discussing the issues that, according to him, have brought citizens to the streets.

" That Goxhaj, Ikballe, etc. are one of the 300 thousand people. Precisely to avoid dealing with the problems, Rama takes them and brings them to the studio. Why are these needed? They are needed because those 200 thousand people have freed us to talk about other things, like the connections of the American president's family through Rama with a trafficker like Artur Shehu ," Bushati declared.

According to the analyst, the protest has managed to bring to the center of public debate topics that, according to him, have been avoided for years.

" These days it is being said and proven that half of the money that built the towers of Tirana is drug money. Should a citizen who works all day go out on the streets because he can't buy or rent a house? These are the things we need to talk about and this is the success of the protest ," he said.

Bushati described the protest as a "freedom celebration," while accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of setting up a propaganda machine to protect power.

" Rama has invested in propaganda machines like Top Channel, Klan, Vizion Plus, to maintain the status quo. They have fed them with incinerators, concessions and tunnels where they steal. This is an achievement of the protest. A society that should have been kept as in an aquarium. This is the yeast of the revolution and so that we don't talk about the revolution, let's talk about Goxhaj, Ikballe or the Israeli flag ," said Bushati.

Finally, the analyst dismissed claims that the protest could be linked to an Islamist threat or similar influences.

" To throw the thesis in this studio that this could endanger an Islamic revolution is absurd. If there were such a danger, the world's media and intelligence services would have found out before Mahmut. Here we have a protest against the old caste ," Bushati declared.
