Journalist Aleksandër Çipa debated with Socialist MP Anila Denaj. As they discussed the current situation in the country, Çipa said that the protest is marking the birth of a new civic opposition, while accusing the government of not reading this development properly.
On the other hand, Denaj defended the role of institutions, emphasizing that every request must be handled through official channels and parliamentary committees.
"We are on the verge of the birth of a new opposition. It is not a formal opposition, because it has no representatives, but you do not consider it as such and this is a serious problem. This protest is so wise from the point of view of civic correctness, that it is not being evaluated and is not receiving a response with the same correctness. Political and institutional reflection is needed here, because this cannot be solved by a single individual," Çipa declared to "A2 CNN".
In response, Socialist MP Anila Denaj emphasized that institutions remain the only way to address concerns raised by citizens and that debates should be channeled into the mechanisms provided for by the Constitution.
"I am not simply defending the prime minister, but the institutional legitimacy and instruments provided by the Constitution. Issues should be channeled to the relevant institutions, so that they receive concrete answers and do not remain general or be politically misused," Denaj said.
During the debate, Denaj also touched on the project in Zvërnec, explaining that the environmental report has not yet been completed and that it will become part of the public discussion once it is submitted.
"The main question was whether the project has an environmental report. At the moment the answer is no, because it is still being prepared. When it is completed, in my opinion it should be made public. Even private property cannot be interfered with, damaging the ecosystem, without a full environmental report," said Denaj.
