One of the activists of the anti-government protest stated that during the morning rally in front of the Parliament, over 1,000 police officers from all regions of the country were deployed, describing this as an indication of the government's fear of the protesters.
According to him, the increased security measures were seen in the early hours of the morning, when citizens gathered in front of the Parliament, while the entrances were blocked by numerous police forces. According to him, the Parliament resembled the movie "The Bride and the Curfew".
" This is the 58th protest. We saw it today at Parliament. How scared they were. There were 1,000 police officers from all districts. Thirteen police vans had come from Shkodra alone ," the activist said during his speech.
He also recalled that this date coincides with the anniversary of the start of the resistance to protect the National Theater.
" Today is the day to commemorate the anniversary of the opening of the festival in defense of the National Theater. That two-year resistance was a passion for democracy, which was treacherously destroyed in the midst of the pandemic ," he declared.
The anti-government protest has entered its 58th day, while organizers have announced that the rallies will continue every day until their demand for the government's resignation is met.
