The village of Kopaçëz in Delvinës was severely damaged by the fire the day before.
Many olive groves and trees have been burned and destroyed, while the village faces a water shortage.
Villagers tell the media that the damage is extensive. According to them, it is suspected that livestock have also died in the mountains, where the fires are still active.
"You can see the reality for yourself. The fire has caused great damage. Without water, we get water by car, in the middle ages. There is a lot of colossal damage in the village. It is suspected that there is damage to the livestock, and the fire continues, it is huge. I have 400 sheep, I have them in the mountain, and it is dangerous. No helicopter, the fire brigade will not come to the top of the mountain. Now we will go to the mountain to shelter the livestock. We do not know what will be done. The main problem is to isolate the fire. The fire is asphyxiating them, blocking their breathing. We are revolted, we are burdened. The height of the mountain is 1800 meters, there is nothing the municipality can do. Measures must be taken," said a resident.
Another resident of the village of Kopacez says that the situation could have been resolved more easily if intervention had been made sooner. He appealed to Prime Minister Rama to have more control over his subordinates.
"A mess has been made here, if the intervention had been done a little sooner, this would not have happened. It was done now, we have nothing to do with it. Let Edi Rama live as long as the mountains, we have nothing to say to him now, let him be more careful, let him have more control over his subordinates", he said.
