10 officers, 6 of whom are first-level managers in the State Police, have had their security certificates revoked due to suspicions that they have problems with their image, among other things, due to indications that they have connections with people involved in crime.
This information was provided by the Police Supervision Agency, which admitted to TCH that, for a year, 19 other officers, 11 of whom are first-level managers, have been refused this certificate, while 4 commissioners have been temporarily suspended until they complete their legal proceedings.
This is a document with which a certain category of police officers have access to information classified as "State Secret". However, during the application to the National Institution for the Security of Classified Information, the verifying authorities, which are the State Intelligence Service, the Intelligence Agency and the Police Agency, have determined that they do not meet the conditions for access to classified information.
In total, 1,487 police officers applied, of which 33, including those in the basic role and one from the Ministry of Interior, received a negative grade.
This decision has been forwarded to the Ministry of Interior and the State Police, who should reflect such workplaces where they should not access classified information.
And while in order to clean up the police, in 2018 a transitional reassessment was launched, where with the legal changes the focus is on the leaders, and therefore it has often been labeled as the control of the 300. Frequent movements in departments, district directorates and police stations have slowed down the vetting process.
Due to recent changes, vetting was discontinued for leaders who left and is continuing for those who have been appointed.
Officially, AMP admitted to TCH that, for 6 months, out of 26 triple checks, 15 of them were confirmed and for 11 other bosses, it was discontinued, as during the vetting verification they were no longer managers.
