The protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, is taking place today for the 49th consecutive day. Independent MP Marjana Koçeku, known as "Neomalsorja", is expected to be among the participants.
Through a video message published on social networks, Koçek announced that she is heading to Tirana to join the protest, while expressing her support for the citizens and young people who have participated in the rallies so far.
"I will join the protest, which is now in its 49th day. The resistance of citizens and youth on the streets of the country is so inspiring and beautiful, and it seems there is no sign of it stopping," Koçek said in the video posted on Facebook.
According to the organizers, today's protest will take place again in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, with the demand for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and political change.
Marjana Koçeku left the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group about a month ago. Since then, she has been publicly critical of the majority and Prime Minister Rama, and has now positioned herself in support of the protest and its demands.
