The search continues for 30-year-old Jurgen Karaj, who is suspected of being swept away by a stream after a car accident in the village of Dars, Klos municipality.
The search operation involved the young man's family, local residents, police forces, firefighters from the municipalities of Mat and Klos, as well as members of the Armed Forces.
The searches are focused along the Mat River bed, from the village of Dars to Lake Ulza, where the river flows.
Authorities say the operation will continue in the coming days, while the 30-year-old's family remains waiting and hoping to find him, in a situation that is becoming increasingly difficult as the days go by without results.
We recall that there were two people in the vehicle at the time of the accident, the 24-year-old driver Andi Llosha and the 30-year-old passenger Jurgen Karaj.
Llosha managed to get out of the car and escaped, while Karaj is suspected to have been swept away by the current of the stream.
In connection with the incident, the Police arrested 24-year-old Llosha, as it is suspected that he left the scene and did not provide assistance to Karaj inside the vehicle. Llosha also previously underwent an alcohol test, which resulted in him driving while intoxicated.
