MEP or mayor? Beleri speaks: If I come out innocent in the Appeal, I will choose Himara!

The elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, who is also a member of the European Parliament, in a telephone interview from prison for "Eeuronews" said that if the appeal declares him innocent, he will choose to be the mayor of Himara.

In the first meeting of the European Parliament, he participated online with special permission. Beleri said that he has faith and if he will not find his right in Albania, he will do it in Strasbourg.

"The first meeting was held on Tuesday and with permission I had the opportunity to participate in the meeting. Here the staff treats me with professionalism. I am like everyone else. I attended the meeting with permission.

Mitsotakis congratulated me on the victory and said he was pleased. I am one of the 21 Greek MPs and I will have their policies in the European Parliament. I am also Albanian and I will try to make my contribution. For me, Albania is not Edi Rama. If I turn out to be innocent, I will elect the Municipality of Himara", said Beleri.
