Fabrizio Bucci leaves Albania, the creator of the Gjadri camps is appointed
Fabrizio Bucci

Fabrizio Bucci from strategic Albania will go to Berlin where he will take the place of Antonio Varricchio.

The Italian ambassador in Tirana, Fabrizio Bucci will leave Albania and move to Germany. Bucci, who has represented Italy in our country since 2020, has been appointed by the government of Giorgia Meloni as ambassador in Berlin.

Fabrizio Bucci will now from strategic Albania go to Berlin where he will take the place of Antonio Varricchio, destined for the presidency of the new German ITA, thanks to the entry of Lufthansa.

Fabrizio Bucci is otherwise known as one of the originators of the Italian immigrant camps in our country. Apparently, the successful opening of two camps in Gajdër has given the diplomat a boost in his career. Meloni, who seems satisfied with the advancement of the pact for immigrants, seems to have rewarded her confidant in Albania, sending him as ambassador to an important country like Germany.

Fabrizio Bucci was born in Rome on April 14, 1964 and graduated in Political Science from the University of Rome in 1988. He joined the diplomatic career in 1992. He left the country in 1996 to serve at the Italian Embassy in Cairo, where stayed until 2000. Then, he was assigned to the Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels.

From 2007 to 2013 he served as a Counselor at the Italian Embassy in Washington and was then appointed Head of the Afghanistan Unit in the General Directorate for Political Affairs.

In January 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary and appointed first as Central Director for European Integration and from 2015 as Deputy Director General for the European Union.

As for the USA, Italy has decided to extend the mandate of the ambassador in Washington Mariangela Zappia until the middle of 2025, to bypass the presidential elections in the USA./ Pamphlet
