Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj also spoke about the Vlora airport concession, describing the formula used as harmful to the public interest.
On "Syri TV", he explained that the state budget cannot guarantee the full risk of the private sector in a Public-Private Partnership and proposed alternative solutions, such as initially building a simple regional airport.
Ahmetaj accuses that the project, in its current form, guarantees profits to the private sector and covers losses over 10 years, calling this "robbery of the state budget."
Arben Ahmetaj: The formula used for the Vlora airport is detrimental to the public interest. The state budget cannot assume 100% of the risk in a concession, or in a Public Private Partnership.
