The court has decided today to impose the security measure "Arrest with imprisonment" for Petrit Çakrri and Fatjon Bushgjoka, accused of the murder of Renis Dobra.
Lawyer Halil Zhuka, defending Petrit Çakrri, has revealed to BW details about what happened in the closed-door hearing. He claims that the prosecution has not presented any concrete evidence linking Çakrri to the crime.
According to him, the prosecution only has evidence related to the movement of the vehicle, and even from them it is alleged that Çakrri is not the perpetrator, but an accomplice in the incident.
"We requested the illegality of the detention and milder personal security measures, as the prosecution had no direct evidence of involvement in the incident, but only indications and vehicle movements that claim to shed light on the incident."
My client is not involved, even the prosecution has admitted that he had no connection with Dobra, but that he may be an accomplice.
He stated that he does not know the victim and has had no contact with him. He accompanied a friend of his to Burrel, moved to Tirana on the night of the incident and that was it. The prosecution has no direct evidence, only incivility about the movement of the vehicles.
"With one of the Bushgjoka brothers, Kristi was in prison. He doesn't know the other brothers," the lawyer said.
