The attack on the day of the elections, says Salvador Kaçaj: The police

The former mayor of the municipality of Shengjin, Salvador Kaçaj, spoke on the show "Opinion" about the failed assassination attempt against him on May 14.

Kaçaj stated that a white car pulled up in front of the car in which the driver and his son were.

He says that he filed a complaint with the police about this incident, but the latter did not take any action to clarify the incident.

"It was a difficult moment. It was the day of the elections around 17:00 or 17:15. I was with the black Tuareg. I was with the boy, the driver and me. The boy was sitting in front. This has come and they came down with guns and here you have it very clearly. They didn't shoot. I opened the car intensively, the driver told me not to open it, but I kept it open. This happened on the highway. The white car has no license plate. Two people with guns and masks got out of the car. They followed us for 3 or 4 kilometers. They were young. All the people who were there saw the scene. I was a delegate for the PD elections. That day I went to vote, at first sight it seemed calm, but they have been surveilling us the whole time. I reported it to the police and nothing happened. On election day, the police do not allow a car without a license plate. The police did not take any action. he did not call me even though I filed the complaint. He did not question the witnesses except the driver, the boy and me. The video was taken by the police directly after 30 minutes. But after the denunciation I have no information about the case. What matters is who was the person who encouraged them to go out there", Kaçaj said.

Kaçaj said that his son has filed a complaint with the American embassy and that this matter is being investigated by them as well.

"The boy is an American citizen and he filed a complaint with the American embassy and they are also investigating," Kaçaj said.
