The banners became one of the most prominent elements of the protest in Tirana, conveying strong political messages, criticism of the government, and calls for change.
Thousands of citizens are protesting for the 17th time in front of the Prime Minister's Office, conveying political messages of criticism of the government and calls to expel the old political caste.
Throughout the rally, protesters displayed a variety of slogans and visuals, combining political messages with humor and satire. Among the crowd, banners with inscriptions such as “Wake up Albania!”, “New Albania” and “Europe, can you hear us?” were prominent, aiming to convey the protesters’ concerns not only domestically, but also to international partners.
A significant portion of the banners focused on the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama. Protesters used illustrations, photomontages, and ironic messages to criticize government policies, while some of them addressed topics related to corruption, immigration, justice, and the management of public projects.
The protest also featured banners referring to environmental issues and the debate over developments in the Zvërnec area. Through montages and satirical messages, the protesters expressed their opposition to projects that, according to them, endanger the environment and the country's natural resources.
In addition to political messages, participants also used creative forms of protest. Some carried flamingos, while others had prepared banners with references from popular culture and social networks, giving the rally a broader communication dimension and attracting public attention.
One of the most frequently repeated messages during the march was the demand for political change and the strengthening of democratic institutions. Through banners, protesters demanded more transparency, the fight against corruption, and improved living standards, arguing that these remain among the main challenges facing the country.
