Analyst Arion Sulo raised questions in "Top Story" regarding the direction of the Namazgja mosque that was inaugurated today in Tirana by Turkish President Erdogan.
He said that the foundation has not been created yet and that this mosque, the largest in the country, will not be under the control of KMSH, but of Turkey.
The foundation explained to Sulo, there will be a management board and the only compromise with Albania is that Gazment Teqja, who is also the imam, will be on the board.
The analyst added that this will be at the expense of Muslim believers who risk being divided.
" The foundation has not been created yet, this is one of the dark points. We have a Turkish control over the mosque in our country. Every mosque is under the jurisdiction of KMSH, this one is not. The Turkish side is the Directorate of Religious Affairs. This foundation will have a management board and it will be Gazment Teqja, this is the only compromise. Teqja said I will also be the imam, the prime minister used the word chief guardian. We know only one member on a board, today the head of KMSH was not invited, this was not accidental.
It had been 5 years since he was inaugurated on this matter and he did not want them there. It is a big question mark how this board will operate, I don't want to make a prediction, but this has never happened that the largest mosque in the country is not under the jurisdiction of KMSH.
