Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu, speaking about the political situation in the country, said that Edi Rama is interested in factoring Berisha and Meta as the country's opposition, for the interests of the Socialist Party. According to him, as long as Meta and Berisha will be on the political scene, Edi Rama will remain in power.
Spahiu said that the last elections clearly showed that the Socialist Party has taken power in the whole of Albania, while he added that the 6 municipalities where the opposition won were "donated" by the socialists' power, to legitimize political pluralism.
"In politics, strength is measured by election results. The last result of May 14 showed that Albania was colored blue. Only 6 villages of Albania were won by the democrats. The SP won all the municipalities in Albania, left only 6 provinces and left them alone. He took the bastions, he took Tropoja, he took Kukësi, he took Kamza, Shkodra, Bathore, he took every corner. It left 6 provinces to be called political pluralism. I think Berisha and Meta are finished.
They will exist as long as Edi Rama is alive. Also, as long as Berisha and Ilir Meta are alive, Edi Rama will be prime minister. This is the established game of the political establishment in Albania. The strength of the socialists is that they dominate today, just like Enver Hoxha or Ramiz Alia, with some transaction belts that had the democratic front, the communist youth, which they called a pluralist movement in the time of communism.
In the same way, the SP and Edi Rama have transformed the opposition forces into directorates of power, completely de-factoring them and not allowing the Democratic Party to be strengthened either, as they make Meta and Bërisha a political factor", said Kreshnik Spahiu.
