Analyst Fitim Zekthi and Arjan Curri have commented on the SPAK mega-operation where 50 arrest warrants were issued, 30 of which were executed against criminal groups, former operatives and politicians.
Speaking about this issue, Zekthi clashed with analyst Arian Curri.
While Zekthi described SPAK's operation as a turning point in the attack on the world of crime, Curi, for his part, said that "the bomb exploded in SPAK's hand".
"This shows what exists in Albania, an organized crime syndicate, where individuals with a very large infrastructure were the real masters of the territory. In my opinion, the operation is the first time that a single individual or a group is not investigated in Albania. What happened is similar to what Falcone and Borselino did because it is investigated in its entirety. So, for the first time, the prosecutor's office is functioning as a prosecutor should investigate. For me this is the only big news, it is a structure that is doing this type of investigation for the first time. Why do you do it? It is more protected and more powerful. This is the turning point for the world of crime in Albania", said Zekthi.
For his part, Curri contradicted Zekthi's argument as he explained that "this here if the hook and SKY ECC were not broken. It's good for those who received the files because they can't do anything by themselves. A bomb exploded in SPAK's hand."
