
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has published official data on participation in the parliamentary elections held today, May 11, 2025.
According to the CEC, the percentage of voter participation within the country has reached 42.16%, a figure that currently reflects a decline in participation compared to the elections held in 2021, which was approximately 46 percent.
It turns out that over 1.5 million voters voted today, while around 195,000 sent their votes by mail from the diaspora.
According to the CEC, the highest turnout was recorded in the Dibra district, with 50.10 percent of eligible citizens voting.
Kukës also has a high voter turnout, with 46.15 percent of citizens casting their ballots. Tirana also has a high voter turnout. The region with the lowest voter turnout is Vlora.
Very high voter turnout in the Diaspora, meanwhile, at 79.24%
Meanwhile, the ballot boxes have arrived at the counting sites and the process is expected to begin soon.
