The former director of Fierza and Koman, former Minister of Construction and one of the most prominent figures in Albanian energy, leaves behind his work, integrity and courage to stand up to power when few dared.
There are people who pass through institutions and leave behind only their name on a document. There are others who leave behind works that continue to speak even when they are no longer there. Ismail Ahmeti belonged to this rare category.
With his passing, Albania lost one of the most representative figures in the energy sector, one of the people who linked his life to the country's largest industrial works and to an era when hydroelectric power plants were not just a source of energy, but a symbol of national pride.
Ismail Ahmeti shouldered great responsibilities. He directed the Fierza and Koman hydroelectric power plants, two of the most important energy projects in Albania. In a time of technical, economic and political challenges, he stood out for his professionalism, dedication and character. He later served as Minister of Construction, always remaining a man connected to concrete work, to the work and to public responsibility.
But Ismail Ahmeti will not be remembered only for the positions he held. He will be remembered for his courage. At a time when few dared to oppose the decision-making of the government, he had the moral strength to express his convictions and defend what he considered right. He was one of those people who did not measure the value of their words by the interest of the moment, but by their conscience.
The generation of engineers and managers of that time built works that still carry the weight of the Albanian economy today. Ismail Ahmeti was one of them. He belonged to that generation that believed that public duty was service and that work should leave a mark.
Today, when his name joins the memory of those who built modern Albania, respect remains for the man, the professional, and the leader who never shied away from responsibility.
We express our most sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and all those who knew him.
His work remains. His memory will live long in the history of Albanian energy and in the memory of those who were lucky enough to know him.

Curri i thashë ca të verteta për mjetet ZIs etjerë që më shumë shpenzonin se punonin... u mendua gjatë dhe më tha: "Ke të drejtë!" Vitin tjeër erdhën 5 IFA nga Gj. Lindore... Burrë Zotëri Se..e verteta zor thuhej
Akoma ato vepra jane medalje e arte e Shqiperise,ndertuar nga talente te tille,njerez me shpirt,krenari kombi. Ismail Ahmeti, emer i nderuar në veprat inxhinierike civile! Ai ishte inxhinier ndertimi jo inxhinier Elektrik.
Pushofte ne paqen e merituar ky burre burre fort I zoti .
Nje pershkrim i merituar per ing. Ismail Ahmetin. E kam kam Ndjere dhe prekur perkrahjen,ndihmen dhe thjeshtesine e tij. Kur ishte minister i ndertimit me priti ne takim,me degjoi dhe ne Moment e zgjidhi kerkesen time ne te mir te institucionet qe une drejtoja. Kur u paraqita ne ministri me kerkuan arsyen e takimit,me njoftusn Iren e pritjes. Vete ministri me degjoi dhe pas nje sugjerimi mori ne telefon ministrin. E kultures Alfred Uci( RIP), dhe me Uroi. Nje tjeter rast eshte kur erdhi ne Hidrocentralin e Banjes e do te bente nje takim me punonjesit. Salla me 400 veta ishte plot. Fonisti per x arsye nuk kishte lidhur fonine. Shkova te grupi ku ishte ministri i kerkova Ndjese dhe vetem pese minuta te lidhja microfonin. Z. Ismail e pa' shqetesimin Tim dhe t'ha: mos u proekupo, do flas pa' microfon. Me gjithese un kembengula ai me hodhi doren ne qafe dhe u nis drejt salles. Kjo duket si nje legjende urbane . Miresia dhe theshtesia e rrisin madheshtine e njeriut. I paharruar do te mbetet ne kujtesen dhjetamijrave punetore,kuadro,drejtues,e shume te tjeret qe e Kane punar, e njohur. U prehte ne paqe shpirti i tij bujar.
Ngushellime familjes. Drejtori im ne Fierze!! Jo vetem profesional ne inxhinieri hidro-teknike,mekanike por NJERI,NJERI,NJERI!! Ik u nje PERSON I KOMPLETUAR! Sa keq me vjen,por kush ka lindur do te vdeke nje dite!
Ngushellime familjes. Nderim per kete figure te shquar te drejtimit te energjitikes se vendit.
Ishte specialist dhe njeri i rrallë. Nuk ishte e lehtë të drejtoje ndërtimin e Fierzës dhe Komanit në kohën e mungesave të shumta rrjedhojë e izolimit total të vendit. Ismaili me sh. kolegë ja dolën mbanë.U prehtë në paqe. Ngushëllime familjes dhe të afërmëve. Veprat mbi Drin janë një monument i madh për të fhe gjithë atyre që i ndërtuan. I përjetshëm kujtimi
