"SPAK is not sparing any party", Vangjeli: Rama is more scared than
Lawrence Vangjeli

Analyst Lorenc Vangjeli stated that after the latest attacks by SPAK, Prime Minister Edi Rama is the one who has more reason for concern than the opposition.

According to him, tension within the majority has increased, as no one knows how the investigations will continue and whether there will be another blow before the May 11 elections after the one against Mayor Erion Veliaj.

"If we analyze the situation, who has had the most headaches from justice in these three months? Naturally, the majority. This is an instrument that, even if it was initially piloted to give Rama a weapon in his hand, today has gotten out of control," he told "Euronews Albania".

According to Vangjeli, the prime minister's biggest fear is whether SPAK will take another step before the May 11 elections.

He emphasized that the justice system, even if it was initially conceived as an instrument in the hands of the majority, has now become independent and is not sparing any party.

"If Veliaj were arrested on May 12, we most likely would not have this rhetoric from Rama. We as journalists have information, and the prime minister may judge that a senior leader may be targeted with an accusation made within the scope of the case," he said, underlining that the current situation is unstable even for the majority.

"That's why Edi Rama has a lot of headaches," Vangjeli concluded.
