The former candidate for the municipality of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, in an appearance for the media, stated that the data of the TIMS system are in the hands of the wanted businessman, Mirel Mërtiri.
Kelliçi called on the head of SPAK to investigate what he calls a national security scandal and the prosecutor who is investigating the Municipality of Tirana.
Kelliç's statement:
We are here again today to draw your attention to the fact that for several months now, the investigations into the Tirana Incinerator file continue to remain suspended and without the real author, whose name is Erion Veliaj. From this platform, we have informed you about evidence and facts that Erion Veliaj is the real owner of the Tirana Incinerator and manager of this corrupt enterprise, he has appointed Mirel Mertir and Klodian Zoto.
During the interview given to SYRI TV last month, Mirel Mertiri made public the report he had filed with SPAK, against prosecutor Klodian Braho. In connection with the report, Mirel Mertiri had placed several documents, the most important of which were the data of the TIMS system, for this prosecutor.
This fact alone should have shocked the institutions of the Albanian state, how is it possible that someone wanted internationally by Albanian justice, for the theft of hundreds of millions of euros from the state budget, was in possession of sensitive data for a SPAK prosecutor .
Let's not forget that in the month of August, 2023, the fact that the TIMS system was stolen became public, precisely at the moment that the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, appointed his patronageists to head the structures of the General Directorate of the State Police. The question that naturally arises is who is the person who gave the international wanted citizen, Mirel Mërtiri, the data of the TIMS system.
Did Taulant Balla himself or his boss in the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, give it? The Democratic Party of Albania has really criticized and will continue to demand every day complete, impartial and efficient investigations by the prosecution body, but it cannot accept the blackmail and pressures put on it by this criminalized and corrupt state in any way. cell, to the prosecutors who are investigating the files related to the scandals of the most corrupt institution in Albania today, Tirana Municipality.
We remind here that it is this prosecutor, who is investigating the famous 5D file, of the corrupt directors of the municipality, headed by Mariglen Qaton, who is expected to be the next victim very soon, just like Taulant Tusha, to save his skin of Erion Veliaj. We call on the leader of SPAK, Altin Dumani, to, in the conditions where the opposition has been blocked by Edi Rama, to set up an investigative commission for the investigation into the theft of the TIMS system, to immediately start the investigations mainly for this mega scandal, advancing justice any individual who has harmed not only prosecutors or ordinary citizens, but above all those individuals or officials who have harmed our national security and our partnership with strategic allies.
In the meantime, we remind the Albanian citizens that this week we have also filed new facts and evidence with SPAK, we have filed state documents with the signatures of government officials, which undeniably prove the main role of the Municipality of Tirana and Erion Veliajt, in the corruption affair of the century , that of the ghost Incinerator of Tirana.
