On August 4, 2024, elections are expected to be held in Himare. Regarding this important political development, the director of Archives Ardit Bido and the secretary of OMONIA, Marin Suli, were involved in a debate with each other on the show Open on News 24.
Bido told Suli that he has become a Greek by profession. Meanwhile, Suli said that Greece is not a profession. Suli stated that he is proud of his grandparents. Furthermore, Marin Suli made accusations, saying that "sheep and goats in the river of Vlora are becoming voters". Also, Suli said that the name of the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the Municipality of Himara will be announced tomorrow.
Marin Suli: Tomorrow we will publish the candidate for the mayor of Himarë. The candidate is a very nice guy. One criterion is that he has not stolen an inch of land in Himara, he will also have a backbone. I don't want to talk about who is the candidate, it will be published tomorrow by the coalition We Win Together. Until tomorrow, let's leave him alone, because he is a private person. No one can benefit at the expense of Himariots. We do not retreat in any kind of situation, despite the fact that the entire administration is coming to Himara. Goats and sheep are voting in the Vlora river.
Ardit Bido: You became a Greek by profession. Marini comes from a patriotic family. But above all, I wish that the municipality of Himara returns to normality. You were Albanian and became Greek. You are an irredentist current, mention Vorio Epirin, but take advantage.
Marin Suli: We also denounced the theft of property in Himare by high officials. I will send the names. Greece is not a profession. I am proud of my grandparents. I am not ashamed of either DP or Omonio. You choose to be Rama's servile. You still haven't decided what you're going to be when you grow up.
