New details have emerged about the murder of 24-year-old Palestinian woman Rayyan Alwan a few days ago in Albania. The perpetrator is suspected to be her father, Fadi Alwan, with whom she entered Albanian territory. The latter has been declared an international wanted person by the country's authorities.
Security expert Fatjon Softa said in an interview for "Ora e Fundit" that the father and daughter's visit to our country does not seem to have had tourist purposes. But was it a premeditated murder? According to the expert, it is not ruled out as a possibility due to the fact that they presented false documents.
The expert further emphasizes that the murder may have occurred due to religious issues or divorce, as the victim was the mother of 3 children.
"It's a bit strange to think that a family, father and daughter, travel with false documents. It could be strange circumstances or programmed because in many cases foreigners commit murders in Albanian territory thinking that they have the opportunity to leave without being arrested by the authorities. Albania has entered the news not only for foreigners who visit it but also for the fact that narcotics are traded, there is organized crime and perhaps they think the effects of the law and the force of the state may be milder than in the countries where they live. Or it could be a momentary conflict that may have come from problems that have been carried over, because the data shows that the violence exercised by the father has been continuous. This conflict may have been carried over. The arrival in Albanian territory does not seem to have tourist purposes. Why should he come only with the daughter, when she has children. The motive? There is a real enigma to come to a foreign territory for the first time and think that you are going to carry out this murder. "It could be religious problems, or other issues like divorce, that could have created this difficult situation for her father," Softa said.
