After resigning from the presidential race, Joe Biden has proposed to the Democrats, vice president Kamala Harris as his successor for the presidential nomination.
In a post on X, Biden called on Democrats to support Kamala in order to defeat former President Donald Trump.
" My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My first decision as the party's candidate in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as Vice President. And it was the best decision I made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be our party's nominee this year. Democrats - it's time to come together and beat Trump. Let's do this ," Biden writes in "X".
