Aggression against Israel, Iran reacts: Our attack has ended, we had informed
Hossein Amir Abdullahian

Hours after Iran's overnight attack on Israel with drones and missiles, and pending what the Israelis will do next, Tehran made it clear that it had notified Washington of its moves.

Specifically, Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdullahian, stated that his country has notified the US in advance that his country's attacks against Israel will be "limited" and for reasons of self-defense.

Iran informed its neighbors of its attack on Israel 72 hours in advance, the foreign minister said. "About 72 hours before our operations, we informed our friends and neighbors in the region that Iran's response against Israel was safe, legal and irreversible," he said.

Earlier, Iranian President Ebrahim Raishi made his first statement after the Iranian attack on Israel, in which he hailed the "brave" Revolutionary Guards who "taught the Zionist regime a lesson."
"Punishing the aggressor was a true promise of the supreme leader, which was fulfilled," the Iranian president added, stressing that Operation "True Promise" was carried out "within the rights of legitimate self-defense" in response to his aggressive actions.

Iran further called on Israel today not to respond militarily to the unprecedented attack that began overnight and was presented as a justified response to the strike that destroyed its consulate in Damascus.

"Our attack has ended and we do not wish to continue it, but we will respond forcefully if Israel targets our interests," Iran's army chief of staff, Mohammad Bagheri, said on Sunday morning, adding that Tehran had warned Washington. that any of his support for a retaliatory Israeli response will result in Iran attacking US military bases.
