Sky Communications Shock Serbia, Trafficker Mentions Aleksandar Vučić and His

The government's pressure on the Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office (TOK) in Serbia has reached its peak, while the government is preparing legal changes that will strip this prosecutor's office of its independence, placing it under the jurisdiction of the High Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.

According to Radar media sources, one of the main reasons for this attack is the new package of Sky EÇ communications, received via Europol, which allegedly contains data on high-level corruption mentioning Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his brother, Andrej Vučić. These communications are located at the Ministry of Interior, but, according to sources, have not yet been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (TOK).

Meanwhile, TOK has opened several new sensitive investigations, including: corruption during the reconstruction of the bus shelter in Novi Sad where 16 people lost their lives; abuses in the construction of the railway to the border and forgeries in the case of General Staff documents.

Particularly dangerous for the government are the two new indictments against drug lord Darko Šarić, who is suspected of continuing to run his cartel from prison, communicating via Sky with associates within Serbian institutions. The two Vučić brothers are also mentioned in these communications.

Previously published communications show that people close to Saric discussed political and judicial influence, and even mentioned: former Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, BIA officials, the President of the Belgrade Court of Appeals, and the involvement in the movement of judges who handled Saric's cases.

Judges Milimir Lukic and Dejan Terzic have stated that the judicial system is facing severe political pressure and that many of the Sky communications have never been seriously investigated. According to them, Sky's information should have been the basis for in-depth investigations into political influence on judicial decisions, Radar writes.

Šarić's case has become a symbol of the cartel's connections to power circles. After surrendering in 2014, he received several favorable court decisions, including being released under house arrest in a villa in Dedinje. It was only after the arrival of the new Sky communications package in 2022 that TOK requested his arrest.

Other publications, such as those by KRIK and Montenegrin media, indicate that associates of Šarić have maintained close ties with powerful businessmen and senior SNS figures, including Andrej Vučić and the former mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević.

Radar says it remains unclear whether the Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office will manage to open investigations into these communications mentioning the Vučić brothers, or whether it will be neutralized by the government before it can act, transforming into an ordinary department within the High Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
