Pope Francis' message of thanks from the hospital: Blessings to you who

Pope Francis' health condition is improving. The Holy Father has shared a message from the hospital, thanking the medical staff and all those who showed care by being by his side as he continues his recovery from pneumonia.

After spending more than three weeks in intensive care at Rome's Gemelli hospital, the Pope is responding well to treatment.

"He is showing steady improvement," hospital doctors say, as for the fourth Saturday in a row, Pope Francis did not appear at noon mass. However, the Vatican conveyed his message.

"Sisters and brothers, during my prolonged stay in hospital, I have experienced warm service and care, in particular from the doctors and medical staff, whom I thank from the bottom of my heart ," the Pope's message from the Gemelli hospital read.

Pope Francis further stated that he has thought of many people who in various ways have been close to the sick, considering them with "blessing" as a sign of God's presence.

The Holy Father, who is experiencing a chronic lung disease, where in the last week he has also presented with respiratory crises, seems to have put his difficult moments behind him, appearing in a more stable condition, without fever and with positive blood oxygen parameters.

This was also the first time that Pope Francis has responded positively to treatment for the lung infection, since the first day he was hospitalized on February 14 and continues to follow his recovery.
