The US and Iran exchanged attacks overnight after a US military helicopter was shot down near the Strait of Hormuz.
In an interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump offered some details on what happened, including what he called a "miracle" that helped the two crew members survive.
Trump said the helicopter was hit by a drone that landed between the two pilots. He added that while the drone was on fire, it did not explode and the pilots landed the helicopter in the water and called their survival a "miracle."
Trump also reiterated a sentiment he shared on Social Truth, saying he was considering broader attacks against Iran.
" I could go on. They had a chance to sign a deal and survive ," Trump declared.
