The deputies of the Assembly of Serbia have continued today's plenary session with the discussion on the election of the new Speaker of the Assembly. After the vote, the new speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabič, was elected.
After three mandates as prime minister, Ana Brnabič was elected the new speaker of the Assembly of Serbia with the votes of the representatives of the ruling majority. Her election was supported with 153 votes in favor and 5 MPs against.
The opposition deputies did not participate in the vote, who during the discussion declared that they expect that Brbnabičeva will not lead the sessions according to the regulation, that she will be much more ruthless and more vocal towards the opposition.
We remember that after the moment when the president, Serbian Aleksandër Vucic, agreed to repeat the elections for the municipality of Belgrade, he also announced the new changes.
