Small parties (not in coalition with the SP or the DP) secured a full 222 thousand valid votes on May 11. Extrapolating the invalid votes (which came out in the majority), it can be said with certainty that around 250 thousand Albanians voted for them.

The very fact that small parties received 222,000 valid votes on May 11 (when they did not have their own commissioners/counters) is a record for competitiveness in Albanian elections. Kreshnik Spahiu, Bamir Topi, Ben Blushi, Shpëtim Idrizi, etc. have previously proven the lack of their own commissioners/counters in previous elections…

The 222 thousand valid votes for small parties (not in coalition with the SP or the DP) produced only 7 parliamentary mandates (they were very close to another mandate in the Fier Region). But this low yield of mandate production by small parties (31.6 thousand votes on average per mandate) was more a lack of electoral tactics and loyalty, than a lack of competitiveness in the elections.

By 2029, some of the current small parties will have disbanded and some will have shrunk (as has usually happened).
